Life as an Air Force brat is filled with excitement. The most amazing thing is definitely the perpetual moving. I've had the opportunity to live in some amazing places, inside and outside the United States. You are stationed for a few years in one location and then you get orders somewhere else. It is a constant adventure getting to see new and exciting places.
There is a downside to this though. I have become accustomed to leaving a place every few years. We have been in Ohio for five years now. That's 3 years too long.
Don't get me wrong, I love Ohio, but I just get antsy living in one place for a while. I'm not sure if this is a sort of an ADD thing or what it is. I honestly do not know what I am going to do once my father retires. I am going to need to find a career that will allow me to travel quite often.
I know how you feel! I was an Air Force Brat for 10 years before my dad got out. After that, I still moved around because I switched between living with my mom in CO and living with my dad in AR. I've also been in OH for 5 years, and I understand the itch to go somewhere new. I hope you find a way to "go," even if you're still here. :)
